Two years ago, we started friend.ly to enhance your social networking experience by creating a fun, easy way to express yourself and meet new people by answering questions.
Since then, we’ve seen you compliment each other, ask poignant questions, and tell the world more about the “real” you. The you who could survive with only a copy of Atlas Shrugged on a desert island. The you who has memorized every word of every episode of Dexter. And the you who yearns to meet more people who also love tennis, find ice cream to be therapeutic, and think existentialism is fascinating.
All of you have answered millions of questions, and today we’d like to answer the following question for you: “What’s next for friend.ly?”
Our answer: friend.ly has been acquired by Facebook.
We’re excited about this because we feel the spirit of friend.ly aligns well with Facebook’s vision, and we’re thrilled to be joining such an innovative company. The friend.ly team will be focusing on new projects at Facebook, but friend.ly will continue to operate as a separate service until January 31st, 2012.

A. Friend.ly will no longer be accessible after Jan 31.
Q. What happens to my data after friend.ly shuts down on Jan 31?
A. Your friend.ly data will be permanently deleted.
Q. Can I download my past answers?
A. Yes, please log in to friend.ly and click the Download Answers button at the top of any page before the shutdown date.

Friendly had developed a source, to know views of young people .I am of 68 years & my answers were appreciated generally by young people ,that gives me a hope ,that we old persons can also adjust with young people .many many thanks to friend.ly ,we will certainly miss it .

I was astounded that so many people actually wanted to hear what I had to say and liked my wittisms. I have made some long lasting friendships that would never have started without this site. I found Friend.ly while I was bedridden recovering from health issues. I have been blessed to find this site and meet some very fantastic people, who I can now call my Facebook family. Without finding Friend.ly, I would have never met these wonderful people and I still talk to them now. Thank you for helping m.e get through a really rough time in my life and sending me my angels. They all know who they are.
I am really impressed by friend.ly i had many new frnds thru this also we come to know many people around the globe…also i would like to say that it was nice answering the questions which reminded me of my old frnds my childhood nd sharing a few things of my present life………….nd few which have left behind…………i request u to get back with something new again so dat the bond cud be continued…………….thank u…………………….

I really enjoyed using this site and have met some nice people. I have learned things about myself that I did not know and have been able to answer them quite honestly. It always seems when you LIKE something in life, it goes away. Growning up favorite stores, friends and foods have gone away. This I guess is a changing of the times. I sure hope that there will be something similiar to this site because I will be there!! I will miss you!!!

Friend.ly was very wonderful net work . But it staggered me that it has come to an end!!! Although they must have some problems, hope they will overcome all the problems and will reopen it soon!!!
